Panthelion

Playing it fast and furious for the past year, Panthelion has established themselves as one of the best live performances to see in the region.

For their one year anniversary, a very special show is planned featuring our favorite str'animator M dot STRANGE, the classical string metal trio JUDGEMENT DAY from Oakland, and San Jose's own Case In Theory.

It's all going down at The Cellar this Friday in downtown San Jose's SoFA District kickin' off at 9pm.

The Black Cab Sessions... Simply Brilliant!

"One Song. One Take. One Cab." That's the simple concept behind this amazing series of backseat performances recorded on the streets of London. The sessions are undoubtedly about great music and the venue (a taxicab) strips every performance to its essence. In their own words, "We aren't picky about genre and will happily open the cab door to anyone who blows us away." Conceived and produced by Just So Films with artist selection by Hidden Fruit.

I stumbled across the sessions hunting down music/video of one of my new favorite artists, Lykke Li, last night. I got so caught up in them it was after 3:00 a.m. when I finally realized I'd better shut 'er down for the day. Here's a few of my favorites below. I'm kickin' it off with Lykke Li followed by Scout Niblett, Daniel Johnston, Cold War Kids and finally Emmy the Great. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Visit blackcabsessions.com for full experience. Enjoy!

Gzzglz.com - A fake Google site?

Fo shizzle my gzzglz. At first glance it might appear that urban tech hackers had taken over Google, but at closer scrutiny you'll realize it's a nice slight of hand. Gzzglz.com is the latest liquidation work of ZEVS, Nice to see the street blurring the lines in the wired.
