Our good friend and Puppet Master, Dax Tran-Caffee (of Corpus Callosum), just announced that he will be giving two puppetry workshops this fall at the Exploratorium in San Francisco. Learn more about the projects in his video after the jump.
The Mask-making Workshop is one day only: October 2nd, 9:30am-12:30.
The Bird Puppet-making Workshop is a four-class series: November 6, 13, 20 and December 4, 9:30am-12:30.
These are adult workshops (16 years and up). The primary material is cardboard with some cloth and paper mache. Tools used are box cutters, scissors, hot glue, wood glue, wheat paste / paper maché and acrylic paint. Materials and tools will be provided by the Exploratorium. The projects will be adaptable for a broad range of skill levels and interests, from students & hobbyists with little sculpting experience to professional puppeteers looking to learn new techniques.
