Wall Street Bull
In the spirit of public art, I love this story....artist Di Modica placed a 7,000 lb bull, made of bronze, costing him $360,000 of his own money out onto Wall Street in the middle of the night back in '89 to "give something beautiful to young Americans" after the '87 crash. It's now up for sale with the condition that it must be donated to the city, and remain where it is... the new owner will receive a plaque certifying ownership as well as a tax deduction. Bidding begins at $5 million. Read about it here.
