Cadavre Exquis - Call for Artists

Much of what inspired us to open a gallery were those legendary eras when the artists, poets & philosophers gathered together in basements, dive bars and studios. Our friend Francesca is gathering artists for a good ol' fashion parlor game made famous by the Surrealists....and you're invited!

From Paris 1925, New York 1993, to San Jose 2005! the long awaited return of the EXQUISITE CORPSE 2005
You are invited to participate in a reenactment of the surrealist parlor game of chance. Relax, unwind, meet interesting artists while collaborating on the sublime!
Both emerging and professional artists are invited to attend.
Saturday, June 4th from 5pm - Midnight(ish)
STUDIO 4 (F. Lovecchio) @ The Citadel
199 Martha Street, San Jose, CA
Finished works will be exhibited at San Jose's celebrated Phantom Galleries.
ARTIST REQUIREMENTS

Paper, beverages, light snack will be provided (wine, water, soda...)
Artists are encouraged to bring additional finger foods/beverages etc. to share
A $5.00 - $10.00 contribution is suggested to cover the cost of paper and sundries.
Some student grade materials will be available for use on site (pencils/scissors/glue/acrylics/watercolors/brushes/collage accoutrement etc.)
Artists are encourage to bring their own mark making 2D -assemblage media/supplies.
Wear clothing suitable for art making - casual, stainable attire.
