"There's Nothing Informal About It"

Maribel Alvarez , author of There's Nothing Informal About It: Participatory Arts Within the Cultural Ecology of Silicon Valley will be at MACLA to discuss her recent book on DIY art groups of San Jose and the surrounding area. (Anno Domini was one of the subjects of her book as well as many other worthwhile grassroot collectives.)
This is an important discussion that is vital to, not only the survival of arts in San Jose, but also to catalyst new models of support and participation. We hope to see you there!
