Shepard Fairey "One Man Army" opens Sept. 14th

Shepard_toyroom.jpg

Shepard Fairey (2000 AD) will present ONE MAN ARMY with opening receptions on Friday, September 14th & Saturday, September 15th, 7:pm till late each night at the ToyRoom gallery in Sacramento. It promises to be an overwhelming array of past and present prints and original works.

(from the press release:) With Shepard Fairey's & Obey Giant's meteoric rise in popularity, it is easy to forget that Shepard has been working for nearly 18 years with the focus and dedication normally associated with that of the old masters. Bringing us a carcophany of styles, reminiscent of a mix of Russian post industrial design, art nouveau inspired rock posters, photocopied Punk Rock flyers, he expresses his take on the the follies of war, greed and loss of freedom among other subjects of concern in what can only be perceived as a society gone awry."
